FAQ

Image generation feels slow. Can I make it faster?

Yes! Jemz has two settings: High Quality and Fast Mode. High Quality images look the best, but they take about 45–60 seconds to generate. Fast Mode creates an image in about 10–15 seconds, though with less detail. You can switch between them anytime in Settings.

How do I use hints?

Hints are little associations that help Jemz connect names to visuals. They don’t have to be perfect — quick instincts work best. Here are some ideas:

  • Sound-alike words: “Ant” for Anita, “Stuff” for Stephen.
  • Gender cues: woman, man, female, male.
  • Physical features: hair color, skin tone, glasses, smile.
  • Occupation: artist, teacher, engineer.

Usually 3–4 hints is plenty. The more specific, the better the match.

The person I added is a Black man, but the man in the image looks Asian. How do I fix this?

AI isn’t perfect — it can sometimes reflect bias in the data it was trained on. To get the best match, be explicit in your hints. For example, add “Black man” or “African American male.” This helps Jemz guide the AI toward more accurate results. We’re always working to improve, but being specific really helps today.

The person is a woman, but Jemz created a male image. What should I do?

Try adding a gender hint such as “Female,” “Woman,” or “Lady.” While the AI does its best, sometimes being clear about gender helps overcome its bias.

Why doesn’t Jemz have a free version?

Jemz uses advanced AI to create images and stories, and that comes with real costs. We don’t show ads, and we don’t have a free tier today. In the future, we may explore a lower-priced version with fewer customization options — but for now, your subscription helps keep Jemz high-quality and ad-free.

What data does Jemz collect, and how is it used?

Jemz is designed to be privacy-first. You may have noticed we don’t create account IDs, ask for your email, or even request your name. We also don’t sell your data — because we don’t have an advertising model.

We only collect the minimum information needed to operate and improve Jemz. That’s it. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
